The purpose of the VEYM IT Team is to support the mission of VEYM through the use of technology. We are a small team of IT professionals who are passionate about applying technology to serve the youth.
Background
I've been involved with the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement (VEYM) since childhood, and now as a youth leader, I now use my skills as a software developer to give back to my community. This project blends my passion for technology with my dedication to helping others. It's been an incredibly rewarding experience, providing both professional growth and personal fulfillment as I work on impactful projects that make a difference for the movement and its members.

This project is helping me develop my frontend skills while also offering opportunities to explore backend and cloud features in the future. It's written in TypeScript, which I've only recently worked with, and it's enhancing my toolkit and coding habits, especially with its strict structure. I'm also integrating various libraries, working with a Directus CMS, and learning Next.js, a new framework for me. While it feels like a second job after my day job, I enjoy coding, learning, and growing as a developer in a field outside contracting.
